Privacy policy — PDF Toolkit

The short version
PDF Toolkit collects nothing about you. Your PDF files are opened, changed and saved on your own computer and are never sent anywhere. There is no server, no account, no analytics, and the extension itself makes no network requests.
What the extension does with your files
When you drop a PDF onto the toolkit page, the file is read into the page's memory in your browser so that it can be shown to you and rewritten. The new file is handed to your browser to download, and your browser saves it where you tell it to. No part of any file is transmitted anywhere: the extension has no server to send it to, its own code contains no network calls, and the PDF library it uses to draw page previews is only ever handed files that are already in memory, never a web address.
When you close the toolkit tab, the files you loaded are gone from the extension's memory. It keeps no copy and no history.
The extension cannot see the web pages you visit. It has no permission to read any tab.
What is stored, and where
Nothing. The extension does not use browser storage, cookies or any other way of keeping information between visits.
Payments
PDF Toolkit is free. It takes no payment of any kind.
What we never do
- We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data or any file.
- We do not use analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or advertising.
Permissions, and why
PDF Toolkit asks for no permissions. Chrome shows no permission warning when you add it. It does not read the web pages you visit.
The toolbar button opens the toolkit in a tab. If you give it a keyboard shortcut in Chrome's settings, that does the same. Neither needs a permission.
Links
The toolkit page contains no links to any website. It shows the maker's name and the support email address as plain text.
Changes
If this ever changes, this page will be updated before the change ships, and the store listing's data disclosures will be updated with it.
